Get Rid of Those Instagram Spam Comments!

Report Spam Accounts

Instagram allows you to report accounts that are considered spam. This is a good way for you to notify Instagram of the problem, and they may ban them from using the account–and therefore ban them from spamming you and other users. This helps Instagram become aware of spam, and take action.

Block users that are commenting spam on your posts

Although it seems like an obvious solution, blocking users that spam your account will prevent them from commenting on your page all together. We find that more often than not, the same spam users are commenting on posts over and over again, so by blocking a few accounts, it can help with this issue significantly.

Turn on “Hide Offensive Comments” in your settings

This is a quick and easy method to naturally filter out some offensive and unwanted comments on your page. Although it probably won’t resolve your problem all together, it will still help restrict some of the spam from coming in on your Instagram.

Customize your hidden words list

With a lot of spam comments, we tend to see the same words or phrases. By hiding certain words from your comments, you don’t have to worry about them showing up on your page! You are able to add multiple words to this list in order to reduce the number of unwanted comments on your posts.
